Evie Jane Carter Hailey

Age 80 of Bunnell, FL passed away at home on July 24, 2013. She was born in Media, Tennessee on February 26, 1933 to Henry and Alberta Carter. She moved to West Palm Beach, FL and married her husband Sam L. Hailey, Jr. on March 9, 1952 were they lived and had three children, Betty, Jerry and James. She and her husband moved back to Bunnell, FL to retire in 1995. She was preceded in death by grandson, Victor Garza, Jr. and great great granddaughter Denise Garza. Survivors include: her husband, Sam L. Hailey, Jr.; daughter, Betty Lawson (husband, David Sr.) of West Palm Beach, FL; son, Jerry Hailey, Sr. (wife, Anita) of Bunnell, FL; son, James Hailey Sr. (wife, Jackie) of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Sue Halloway (husband, Jimmy) of Wilston, FL; 7 grandchildren: Tammy Hunt, David Lawson Jr., Jerry Hailey Jr., Dana Blocker, Brad Hailey Sr., Nichole Hailey, James Hailey Jr.; 13 great grandchildren, Crystal Garza, Ashley Garza, Christopher Garza, Mikey Hunt, Brandon Hunt, Chanler Hunt, Angel Hailey, Angela Hailey, Brad Hailey, Jr., James A. Crickenberger, Aiden Crickenberger, Isaiah Hailey, Levi Hailey; 4 great great grandchildren, Berry Garza, Christopher Garza Jr., Victoria Garza, Jayden VanBurer; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and very special friend Betty Frederick of Bunnell, FL.

Friends may visit from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday July 29th. Funeral services officiated by Brother Ray, will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday July 30th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
