

He enjoyed working on hot rods, hunting, fishing, boating, and was an avid Miami Dolphin fan. Gary was considered by all as "Mr. Fix It". He was best known for his loyalty, patriotic spirit, selflessness, honesty, work ethic, and his "never quit, can-do attitude". Gary mastered many trades and was successful in all of his business ventures, including Hallman Chevrolet, Roger Dean Chevrolet, Smalley Transportation, and his own business, Sunrise Pool service.
After retirement, Gary became actively involved in the Elks Lodge #24 located in Henrietta, NY and the American Legion Post 159 located in Venice, Florida. Gary is survived by the love of his life of 47 years, Mindy (nee Kienke). They enjoyed traveling to Europe and driving across the country in their motorhome. Some of their favorite memories include visiting Saltzburg, Paris, Oktoberfest, and Glacier National Park.
He is also survived by his children Kristin (Jake) and Brian (Sarah) along with his grandchildren Caleb and Ella. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anna, his sister-in-law Ginny, brother-in-law Doug and granddaughter, Ava.
A graveside service in memory of Gary will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at the Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Florida, 33461.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Gary can be made to the Elks Lodge #24 (3525 E. Henrietta Road, Hentietta, NY, 14467) or the American Cancer Society.
