

George H. Datesman, 93, died February 1, 2015. Born Quakertown, PA, August 30, 1921. Survived by children, George, Jr. (Maryanne), Rimmon (Yoko), Alycia Pryor; four grandchildren, Michelle Gallo (Mark), Prudence McGovern (Joseph), Kenneth Datesman (Teresa), Lisa Lerner (Jonathan); 12 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Joseph, Courtney, Delaney, Trevor, Tara, Abbie, Emma McGovern; Christopher, Victoria, Michelangelo, Mark Jr. Gallo. Predeceased by wife, Dorothy and son, Martin Kenneth. Served in Army Air Corps in World War II. Moved to Lake Worth in 1948. Worked at Florida Public Utilities, and Mock Roos Associates before retiring. Founding member of Post 258 American Legion, Greenacres; member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Worth; volunteered with Rovers 1-Palm Beach County Citizen Observer Patrol. He will be missed by all who knew him as a kind, gentle man who wore his love of God on his shoulders every day. He held family, friends, and community as valued and loved. Thanks to his special caregivers, Brenda, Geraldine, Judy, Kay, and Carol for spending hours with him. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County. Viewing Friday, February 6, 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth. Funeral service Saturday, 4:00PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1615 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth; burial Sunday at noon at funeral home.
