

James Ray Moore, 84, went to be with his heavenly father on February 13, 2021. He was born in Sweetwater, Tennessee to the late Lillian Turpin Moore and Hubert (Slim) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret S. Moore and granddaughter Lillian Estelle Boswell.
James is survived by his sister A. J. Kohlscheen, beloved daughters Julie Nielsen, of Banner Elk, NC, Susie Guriere, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla, Robin Noland and husband Allen of Huffman, Tx, sons, Tony Bishop and wife Linda of San Antonio and Mike Morrill and wife Becky of Tennessee. Grandchildren – Nicole Boswell, Ethan Boswell, Gina Guriere, Rachael Noland McLeod and Josh, Faith Noland, David I. James Noland, Amy Bishop, Ashley (Bishop) Hayward, Tasha Morrill, and Kayla Morrill. Greatgrandchildren – Jakob, William, Bryan, Lexi, Conner, Aubrey, Marley and Tony. Niece, Kimberly Morgan and many more cousins, nieces and nephews.
James moved to Florida in 1955 and was a long-time resident of West Palm Beach, where he raised his family. He relocated to Iuka, Ms., because of his job, but returned to Lake Worth, Fla., upon retiring in 2008. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He always looked forward to having fish fries with his bounty. He was an amazing father and grandfather and a friend to so many. He loved going to estate sales and yard sales each week to see what goodies he could find. He loved taking family vacations to see his relatives in Tennessee and really looked forward to the annual family reunions. He was loved and will be missed by so many.
Per his wishes, there will be no service, but we will continue to celebrate his life and legacy.
