

Age 65 of Boynton Beach, FL. Ron died in his sleep on December 21 at the JFK Medical Center Hospice in Atlantis, FL, after a six-month battle with brain cancer. Ron was born January 25, 1947, in New Brunswick, NJ. He was the son of Jerome F. and Lucille (Zak) Grattan. Ron is survived by his wife, Heather Collins Grattan, his mother, and his siblings Jamie, David, Tim, Nancy Parisi, and Deenie Eisler. Ron worked for IBM for 30 years in various capacities, for eData/Seisint for 2 years as a Recruiter, for The Sports Authority headquarters for 2 years as a Recruiter, and for Pediatrix/Mednax for 9 years as a Physician Recruiter. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Navy, and he always felt honored when his service was acknowledged. He was known for his witty one-liners, his excellent basketball skills, his love for his and his wife’s bichon frise, Mustard, and his intense faith in Jesus Christ. Ron and Heather were the guests on “It’s Time for Herman and Sharron” on CTN (Christian Television Network) on March 13, 2012; the show can be viewed in its entirety on YouTube. The memorial service will be held at Grace Community Church of Boca Raton, 600 W. Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL, on Saturday, January 26, at 3:00 in the afternoon. Burial services were held privately at Dorsey–E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens and Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL, on Wednesday, December 26. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his honor to his alma mater, St. Vincent College, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
