Joyce A. Elder

Age 78 of Palm Springs, FL went home to be with our Lord on March 18, 2014. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey to John and Adelaide Ashton before moving to Florida. She was a faithful and loyal member of the Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church. Joyce was a very creative person who enjoyed making porcelain dolls, crocheting, sewing and many other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 58 years marriage, Philip; children, Gary Elder (wife, Nancy) of Deland, FL, Cheryl Wilson (husband, Kevin) of Palm Springs, FL, and Janice Axsom (husband, Robert) of Seymour, IN; brother, James Ashton (wife, Evelyn); sister, Ruth Hill (husband, Dwight); grandchildren, Jennifer Goldstein, Michele Porter, James and Bradley Wilson, Brianna and Andrea Axsom; great grandchildren, Micah Goldstein and Collin Porter; and many more loving family members.

Friends may visit from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, March 23rd at the Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, 6th Avenue South, Lake Worth, FL 33461. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
