Age 82 of Atlantis, FL passed away October 5, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Samuel and Ray Barish. He was an honorably discharged Major having served in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Barish was a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia. He was a member of the AMA and former Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at JFK Hospital in Atlantis.
Dr. Barish is survived by his wife, Irma; children, Dr. Robert (Karen) of Ocala, FL, David of Plantation, FL William (Satu) of Lake Clarke Shores, FL, James (Peggy) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Nancy Zoghby of St. Louis, MO, Katy Bartolini (Tony) of Sebastion, FL, Frank Reeser and Kathy DeMonaco of Ocala, FL; sister, Dolores Scherzer (Ken) of Lake Worth, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Sunday Oct. 9th at the Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
