Lillian Christian

Lillian Whidden Christian of Lake Worth, Florida passed away at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida on Saturday, February 26, 2011 after a brief illness. Lillian was born to Arch and Creasie Whidden on February 28, 1917 in Venus, Florida, the first of seven children. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Lehto, and deceased husbands: C.J. Christian, John Lehto, and William Guyer; brother Vance Whidden; and sister Wilma Whidden Godwin. She is survived by daughters Donna Lehto Brink (husband Wallace Pocock); Rena Guyer Dickinson (Jim); stepson David Christian (Tina); stepdaughter Susie Christian Hauck (Bob); grandchildren Katie Lehto; Eric Lehto; Craig Dickinson (Julie); Lori Dickinson Sojourner (Russ); Michael Brink; stepgrandchildren Alicia Richardson (Joe); Matthew Christian; Michael Christian; Lynn Brown and Kathy Smith, six great-grandchildren; and brother Paul Whidden, sisters Marie McDuffie, Lois Woodard, Genie Pearce, and Abbie Whidden, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Nothing made Lillian happier than hosting friends and family in her home. She touched many lives with her generous giving heart and considered everyone family. She loved providing others with her traditional southern cooking and delicious pies.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow at Memory Gardens.
