

Michael Lee Neil, 73, died February 8, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born on November 13, 1942 in Abilene, Texas toWilliam Shade Neil and Thelma Perkins Neil. He married the love of his life, Debra. They celebrated 48 years of marriage. Prior to his illness, he was an avid outdoorsman and hot rod enthusiast; but mostly enjoyed the times he spent with family and friends. Among his greatest accomplishments are his grandchildren, with whom cherished spending time with. They are better human beings because of his unconditional love and guidance.He was retired from the Palm Beach County School Board. The big man with the enormous heart will be missed by so many. He was preceded in death by his precious son, Roddy Michael Neil. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Debra Dycus Neil; daughter, Tracey Kouf (Dwayne); siblings, Tom, Wesley, John, Bob and Patricia; grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary and Grace; and a multitude of extended family of whose lives he was proud to be a part of. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Friday, February 12th with Funeral services to be held Saturday, February 13th at 10am at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, 33461. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to The Police Athletic League to which he gave annually or Hospice of Palm Beach County. To pay tribute to this loving man, the family would wish that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in his name.
