The wicked shall perish... when the godly ascend...”

The first lyrical composition by Nikki Cruz at the age of 16. During this time, he often struggled to find the meaning of life while surrounded by so many voices tugging at his heart. Yet it was here in Proverbs 12 that he searched for the answer.

Nikki Lopez Cruz was born on July 11, 1980 in San Diego, California to the late Thomas Varona Cruz and his supportive, loving mother Awilda Lopez Cruz whose heart still beats his name. Nikki was preceded in death by his loving little sister the late Angelina Teela Cruz; their sibling bond will forever resonate in our hearts.

A graduate of Palm Beach Lakes High School in 1998, he went on to pursue an apprenticeship as a Master Canvasser that later led to a productive career.

Nikki married Hortencia Venegas with whom he had two incredible sons- Daniel and Thomas Cruz; both whom will miss him deeply.

Nikki is also survived by his only niece Leila as well as his many aunts, uncles and loving cousins.

The memory of a kind heart, a sweet spirit and the gentle touch of a life gone to soon.

A Celebration of life service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at his mother’s house. His aunt Rev. Nancy Rivera will officiate.

Nikki always felt that you should "B SUM 1 TO MISS" and he will definitely be missed.
