Peter "Wizard" Graves

Peter Graves, 74, of West Palm Beach, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born in Skowhegan, Maine, and moved to Florida with his parents in 1959. Peter attended St. Ann's, graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in 1966 and attended what is now known as Palm Beach State College. Peter was a skillful indoor shutter maker (woodworker/carpenter) and worked at Absolute Shutters and Shades fka American Shutter Design fka the Shutter Shop. He was an avid pool player and was affectionately known as Wizard. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and even had the pleasure of attending many home games.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Catherine Graves; brother, Fred Graves of Bradenton; and sister, Ann Simrell of Loxahatchee

He is survived by his brother, Tom Graves of N. Grafton, MA; and Tom's children: Sean Graves of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Tim (Courtney) Graves of Worcester, MA and their daughters; and Emily Graves of N. Grafton, MA; Nephew, Greg Graves of Colorado Springs, CO; Nephew, Brian Gensbugel of Loxahatchee and his children and grandchildren; Niece, Christeen (Mario) Matos of Loxahatchee and their children and granddaughter; several cousins and a host of friends.

A visitation for Peter will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
