21, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Born on April 4th, 1994 to parents David and Cynthia Dinga, Philip L. Dinga was the youngest of seven children. Like his siblings, Philip attended Lake Worth High School where he played football from his freshmen to junior year. Philip went on to graduate from Lake Worth High in 2013 and continued his studies at Palm Beach State College.
In addition to being a part-time college student, Philip held a position at Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. as a forklift operator. On his spare time, he took great joy in spending time with both his family and friends. Some of his hobbies included paintballing, playing x-box, swimming, and watching sports. Philip was a fan of the Miami Heat, Miami Hurricanes and the Dallas Cowboys.
Philip had a relentless spirit, the heart of a champion and the confidence of a true winner. This young man was very special in every way. If you wanted to see Philip at his best, all you needed to do was place a limit before him. Known as ‘Big Meech’ to his friends, he was admired and tremendously loved and there was no limit to his love for any and every one. He had that special light that could light up any room.
Philip Dinga was preceded in death by his eldest brother, David Dinga, Jr., his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather. Philip leaves a slew of people to cherish his memory; his parents, David and Cynthia Dinga, his maternal grandmother, Margie Betner, his siblings, Duane Dinga, Sean T. Dinga (Kendra Thomas, fiancée), Stacee Pierre (Maxi Pierre, spouse), Ashley Dinga-Thompson (Jemaine Thompson, spouse), and Tiffany Dinga-Dorelian (Carmin Dorelian, spouse). His aunts Pearl Betner (Vernis Deronville, spouse), Selina Haslom-Mongo (Arthur J. Mongo, spouse), his uncle Thomas D. Haslom, Jr., his niece Jazmine E. Pierre, his nephews, Maxi Pierre, Jr., Sean Ian David Dinga and other family members and friends too numerous to name. To the Small family, (grandma Lorraine) Taku family, Smith family, Gary Gonzalez, Edwin Afamefuna and many others, thank you for being there.
Philip's Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with a service following on Sunday, February 28, at 11:00AM, at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
