Richard " Dick " W. Cain

Dick was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (“Pat”) Cain. He is also survived by his children; Richard Cain, Jr., Tracy Healy, and Mark (Susan) Cain; as well as his stepchildren Patrick Goonan, Cassie (John) Gawel, Eileen Kennedy, James (Sally) Goonan, and Maureen (Steven) Hosman. Dick was also survived by his grandchildren Shannon (James) Keim, Colleen (Stacy) Healy, Dana Cain, Chelsea Cain, Michael (Lindsay) Adams, Brianne Olsson, Michael (Jennifer) Goonan, Mark Goonan, Mallory (Stephen ) Horton, Shea Goonan, Brittany Goonan and Madison Fine; great grandchildren, Ian Fuller, Jack Horton and Abigail Goonan. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Charles Cain, his brothers David Cain and Robert Cain, his daughter Holly Adams Rand, and Eileen’s husband Tom Kennedy.

A graduate of the University of Denver, Richard was very proud of his 33-year career with AT&T and the former Bell System. He held numerous positions in Finance at the Supervisor, Manager and District Manager levels in Colorado, Utah, Texas, New Mexico, New York, New Jersey and California. He held positions in Internal Audit, Revenue Accounting, Tax, and General Accounting during his career with AT&T. Dick and Pat enjoyed their retirement of over 30 years in Delray Beach and Lake Tahoe and the many trips and adventures they had together.

Dick served in the Colorado Air National Guard 1948 – 1949, and he was a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry having achieved the level of 32nd Degree.

Friends may visit at the Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in Lake Worth Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in memory of Richard W.
