Age 62 of Wellington, FL passed away February 14, 2012. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Aubrey and Frances Hardy. He earned his B.A. Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. After college he served 3 years in the Air Force, stationed in Homestead. Robert was employed by several upscale boutiques in Palm Beach, including the Purple Turtle, Hattie’s, Georgette Klinger and most notably Valentino Boutique. He was a treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Association of Research and Enlightenment, based in Virginia Beach, VA.
Robert is survived by: brothers, Carl E. Hardy (partner, Douglas) of West Palm Beach, Charles R. Hardy (Mimi) of Fishers, IN and Thomas E. Hardy of West Palm Beach; one niece; four nephews; two grand-nieces; and four grand-nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Friends may visit an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ARE Office of Development, 215 67th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451-2061.
