Born on February 17, 1952 in Switzerland he was the son of the late Anton and Johanna (Servaas) Hut of the Netherlands. He was a member of Journey Church and a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce in Lantana.
He retired in 2004 from Delta Airlines where he worked as a gate agent. Bob then went on to open his own business called Ocean One Marine in Lantana where he specialized in building docks and boat launches.
Bob was an avid boater, water-skier, and enjoyed playing racquetball. Rachelen and Bob would spend their weekends in Key Largo where they both enjoyed boating and spending time with their two dogs Simon and Kase. You also cannot forget about their two cats tripod Tony and Franky. He was also a great cook who enjoyed sharing his passion by volunteering within the community to help the homeless.
“We have lost a great friend but I am sure heaven won an angel more in his holy kingdom and I will always remember him with his way of being. I learned a lot from him and his courage to know how to solve everything without ever bothering anyone. We are sad but I am sure God is happy to receive our friend Bob. Strength and resignation to each of those who mourn him and I know he will always guide us from heaven.” HASTA SIEMPRE PAPICHULO!
In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two sons Eric A. Hut (Erica Taylor) of Atlanta and Alex J. Hut (Lindsay Sawyer) of Lake Worth; brother Ralph Hut of Atlanta; sister Inge DeGraan of Calhoun; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Hut.
