Age 79 of Lantana, FL passed away on the morning of January 24, 2014. He was born in Cheshire, CT to Thomas and Elsie Miller. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Russell was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 33 years. After retiring, he and his wife Karen volunteered in various State and National Parks throughout the southeast for 25 years. Russell leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity and compassion. He was a friend to everyone and would lend a helping hand to anyone who asked.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Karen Miller, their children and grandchildren: Russell Thomas Miller, Jr. and his wife, Denise and their children Heather and Ryan Miller; Daniel Dale Miller and his wife May and their children Daniel Thomas, Faith and Elizabeth Miller; Sandra Miller Fabben and her children, Sara and Holly Fabben; and sister Isabelle Bellis. His other sister, Florence Miller, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Faith Presbyterian Church, officiated by Reverend Bill Stepp. In lieu of flowers the family requests any contributions be made to Hospice of the Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
