Age 81 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away November 27, 2011. She was originally of Philadelphia, Pa and was born to Edward and Esther Docktor. She will be remembered for her love of family and camping and her love of puzzles and card games. She taught her 2 year grandaughter the cards of the deck. She enjoyed animals and supported the ASPCA and other no-kill animal shelters.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sanford on December 3, 2006.
She is survived by: daughter, Ilene Blasio (Ronald) of Wellington, FL; daughter, Donna Sandler (Scott) of Lake Worth, FL; brother, Jerome Docktor (Gail) of Brevard, NC and Boca Raton, FL; sister, Susan Levy (Larry) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; grandchildren, Bonnie Rives (Adam), Jared (fiance, Traci) and Jason Sandler (Rachael), Francesca Blasio; great grandson, Seth Rives.
Memorial services will be held on 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 1st at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or the ASPCA or Peggy Adams to ensure the care of unwanted animals.
