William Andrew Huckabee

March 12, 1930 – June 19, 2011

William Andrew Huckabee, 81, of Lucerne was born on March 12, 1930 in Jackson County, Arkansas, the oldest of 13 children to Roy and Lenora Huckabee. He was laid to rest on June 19, 2011.

Bill served in the United States Army as a mechanic in the Korean War. After his tour of duty, he made a career as a Ford mechanic for approximately 50 years.

After retiring in Lake County in 1985, Bill spent his next 26 years fishing the waters of Rodman Slough, Clearlake. He was a kind and friendly man who never met a stranger and never ran out of stories to tell.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lora; sons, Timothy, Anthony, and Jerry; grandchildren, Tania, Holly, Jason, Joshua, Heather, Rachel, Ashley, and Shelby; great-grandchildren Amber, Brittany, Haley, Shelby, And Johnny, and siblings, Sam, Charlie, Jimmy, Shirley, Edith, Sue, Sally, and Ann.

He was preceded in death by his son David and daughter Connie and siblings Betty, Clifton, and Tommy.
