Margie Lorene Carmichael

Margie Lorene Carmichael, 82 of Bridgeport, Nebraska died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Morrill County Community Hospital in Bridgeport. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bridgeport Memorial Chapel with Pastor Darren Stroh officiating. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Scottsbluff.. . Margie was born on March 1, 1922 in Bridgeport to Clarence A. and Elsie (Gatch) Kisner. She graduated from Bridgeport High School. She married Harold “Corky” Carmichael on August 10, 1941. Her and “Corky” owned and operated the Bi-Lo Grocery Store in Bridgeport for several years. Margie later did various jobs painter, nursing home maintenance “repair person”, lawn maintenance and “handywoman”. She was a Past President of VFW for 2 years. She received the Best Worker Award at the nursing home. Margie enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing bridge and puzzles. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law Lynn Ann and James Dunder Sheila and Clyde Ferrell; son and daughter-in-law Harold and Kathy Carmichael; grandchildren James T. Dunder, Trina L. Dunder, Cheri Mitchell, Scott Butler, Brian Carmichael, Todd Carmichael, Kyle Carmichael and Shannon Carmichael and two great grandchildren; brother Clarence and Elizabeth Kisner and sister Elva Zaruba and special uncle Neil and Maxine Gatch. . She was preceded in death by her husband “Corky”, parents and sister Wreatha Newman.
