Theresa Carol (Bosch) Hood

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Community Bible Church in Bayard with Pastors Bradley Kihlthau  and Tom Payton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bayard Memorial Chapel.  Memorials may be given to the church or Chimney Rock Villa.   

She was born on October 15, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Theresia (Schilsong) Bosch.   Theresa worked at Barrett Christy and Anacodra Copper & Cable in Chicago.   She married Herbert Hood on November 23, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois and made their home in valley and moved to Bayard in 1987.

She was a member of the ACME Extension Club and Gideon’s Auxiliary.  She enjoyed serving her church in VBS, AWANA Club and PFC (Pioneers for Christ).  She had many hobbies she enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, canning, baking cookies and pies, crossword puzzles and friends.

She is survived by her sons Preston Hood and wife Christine and Tim Hood and wife Wendy; daughter-in-law Maria Hood; grandchildren: Jamie, Jeremy, Melissa, Matt, Alison and Sarah; great grandchildren: Mia Courtney, Kyler and Kennan Hood and beloved Margie and Jim Parks, Michael, Jennifer & Syrena.

Theresa was preceded in death by her son Robert Hood, husband Herbert, parents, brothers and sisters Pauline Lanser, Agnes Luchsinger, Ray Bosch, Carl Bosch and Peter Bosch.

As a faithful Christian, who loved the Lord Jesus Christ withal of her heart, mind and soul.
