Along with many nieces & nephews.
Agnes was raised in Hot Sulfur Springs, MT until age 9 when her family moved to Denver, CO. About the age of 14 she started attending 1st Avenue Presbyterian Church, where she was involved in the basketball team and Christian Endeavor Program. This is where she met and eventually married her husband Glen of 66 years. They began a family, where they all were actively involved at 1st Avenue Presbyterian Church. Agnes was a teacher of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Bible Study. She was also involved in the Crafty Crew group that made layettes for needy babies at Denver General Hospital, they also raised money for them as well. She was also involved in the Christian Women's Association and many other groups. Agnes was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a hard worker.
She was a secretary at The Finance Corporation for many years, then becoming the secretary at 1st Avenue Church for 18 years. After retirement, she and Glen were able to take spur of the moment golfing road trips to find an open golf course. We recall, one time, when they set off and ended up in Tucson, AZ where her baby brother, Dan Baber and family lived. Where to her horror she could not find her wallet, with no money or even a change of clothing, she called home to Rosemary Lowe to wire money. After returning home from a great trip, she discovered she had the money tucked under the cardboard liner at the bottom of her purse. From then on she carried a change of clothes and a toothbrush in her golf bag, just in case. They had many adventures like this, and there are so many wonderful stories we wish we could share about Agnes's life but it would be a novel.
She was a faithful, compassionate, loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all she met. She will be greatly missed, and remembered dearly by one and all.
