Chris is survived by his three children, Kerry (Kirkwood) Killian and her husband, Bryan of Medford, MA; Megan Kirkwood of Watertown, MA; Christopher Kirkwood, Jr, of South Amboy, NJ; his brother Maclean Kirkwood, III of Philadelphia, PA; and his stepmother, Justine Kirkwood of Chatham, MA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Maclean Kirkwood, Jr. of S. Orleans, MA; his mother, Marguerite Overn Kirkwood of E. Orleans, MA; and his brothers John Gately Kirkwood of Basking Ridge, NJ and David Alexander Kirkwood of E. Sandwich, MA.
Chris was born on July 8, 1957 in Buffalo, NY. He grew up in Ridgewood, NJ and graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1975. He received a B.S. from the University of Washington in 1979 with a degree in political science, and he received a J.D. from Villanova Law School in 1982. After practicing law for many years, he moved to Colorado in 2014 to pursue other opportunities.
A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. Details of that celebration will be shared as soon as they are available.
