Born December 15, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, Craig was the beloved son of the late Shirley Brainard and the late James Schultz. He is survived by his loving sisters Cheryl Brainard and Lori Schultz, nephew, Stewart Brainard, and great niece Adalynn Brainard. He is predeceased by his stepfather, George Brainard, and brother Terry Brainard.
Craig lived a life full of passion for the outdoors, from hunting and gardening to enjoying the peace of nature. He was a dedicated laborer in the construction industry, known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit. Craig also found joy in hobbies like building model cars and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Known for his warmth, witty sense of humor, and giving nature, Craig had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel valued. His laughter, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share in the fond recollections of his life.
