David Olen Coddington, born on April 10, 2000, to Ed and Londa Coddington, passed away in his hometown of Denver Colorado on September 26, 2024. A bright spirit, David’s journey was marked by creativity, passion, and a love for life that touched everyone around him.
David attended Denver South High School and later earned his GED from Emily Griffith. His culinary talents flourished as he worked in several prestigious 5-star restaurants, eventually finding joy as a pizza chef at the Pie Society restaurant. Cooking was more than a job for David; it was a way to express his love for people and life itself.
An avid reader, David was rarely seen without a book in hand or a warm hug to offer. His interests spanned beyond the kitchen; he had a deep love for music, teaching himself to play the guitar, and often filled the air with melodies. His open-mindedness and much desired sense of humor made every moment spent with him memorable.
David is preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers, Edwin Coddington Sr. and Lonnie Gann, as well as his grandmother, Linda (Clark) Gann. He leaves behind the many who love him, and his beloved cat, Sam.
David’s light may have dimmed too soon, but the love and joy he brought into the world will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the laughter, kindness, and creativity he shared with everyone.
A service will be held at Forefront Church located at 2112 S Patton Ct, Denver, CO 80219 on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow.
