78, of Lakewood, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was born on September29, 1939 to Ted J. and Alice Ryan. Rev. Ryan graduated from St. Teresa High School in Hutchinson, Kansas. He attended St. John’s University in 1962, and studied Theology at Kenrick Seminary.
Rev. Ryan was ordained on March 26, 1966 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Wichita, Kansas by Bishop Leo C. Byrne.
He was Excardinated from the Catholic Diocese of Wichita and Incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on January 1, 1985.
His assignments included
several Parish’s in Kansas, as well as St. John the Evangelist Parish, Denver (now Good Shepard Parish); St. James Parish, Denver; St. Louis Parish, Englewood; Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Broomfield; St. Joseph Parish, Ft. Collins; and Our Lady of the Lakes, Red Feather Lakes.
He was granted Retirement Status on June 30, 2004.
A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church located at 900 W Midway Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020, at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:00 am with the burial immediately following at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
