Our beloved Ferman Lee Richard, Jr. of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026 at the age of 51. He was born on January 22, 1975 in Denver, Colorado where he grew up, surrounded by deep roots and family love.
A man of incredible talent and drive, he poured his heart into his work as a technician, contractor, and entrepreneur, building not just businesses, but lifelong friendships along the way.
He was deeply woven into the fabric of his community, a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest. Ferman was best known for his immense love for his family, finding peace while fishing, sharing great food, engaging in spirited philosophical debates, spreading laughter with his signature Dad jokes, cheering on his Denver Broncos, and winding down to the smooth sounds of 90s R&B.
He is now reunited in heaven with his cherished father, Ferman Lee Richard, Sr and brother, Joe Sanchez.
His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his precious family. He is survived by his children: Mercades Richard, Jorden Hartmann, and JR Richard; his beloved adopted daughter and niece, Chelsea Salazar; his devoted mother, Vianney Gonzales; and his dear sister, Tammy Gonzales.
Ferman’s spirit was defined by the beautiful, everyday magic he brought into the lives of his family. We will forever hold close the memories of him patiently teaching his children how to ride their bikes, the pure child-like joy he found in decorating the entire house to make the holidays feel extra magical, and the spectacular, booming fireworks shows he proudly put together for everyone every year on the 4th of July.
With deeply grateful hearts, the family wishes to thank everyone for the gentle care and compassion shown to our sweet Ferman in his final days. Your endless love, prayers, and support have been a comforting light for us during this profoundly difficult journey.
Family and friends are warmly invited to gather and celebrate Ferman's beautiful life at a memorial service at Advantage Runyan Stevenson Funeral Home on May 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM MT.
