Julia E. Dominguez

Julia E. “Julie” Dominguez, age 87, passed from this world into the loving embrace of our Lord on March 14, 2019. She was married to her beloved Robert “Bob” for 65 years and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Robert (“Anthony” or “Tony”); Gregory (“Greg”) and his wife Lorena (“Renie”); and Larry and his wife Beverly. Her loving heart enfolded all her grandchildren: Roberta Dominguez Alexander, Sabio Dominguez, Jonathan Dominguez, Yolanda Robles, and Tanya Dominguez; her great-grandchildren Felicia, Thomas, Sabyn, Lailah, Alysia, Lazarith, Selah, Jerusalem, Jubilee, Elijah, Brianna and Levi; and her great-great-grandchildren Aziel, Sakeri, and Leiloni. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Justa Nuanes Sanchez, Jake Sanchez; her siblings John “Francis” Nuanes, Raymond Nuanes and her grandson Robert Dominguez.

Julia had a strong belief in Jesus and the Holy Trinity and attended Mass at Presentation of Our Lady Church daily for 20+ years. She was active in the Altar and Rosary Society and often volunteered at Mary’s Closet. She was a regular at Barnum and Mulroy Senior Centers and enjoyed dancing, music, watching Wheel of Fortune, The Bachelor and Say Yes to the Dress. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed going up to the hills to gamble! Julie was extraordinarily friendly and no one she met was a stranger for long!

Services will take place on Tuesday March 26th, 2019 at Presentation of Our Lady Church, 695 Julian St., Denver, CO 80204. A rosary in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be said at 9:30 am, and a Memorial Mass of thanksgiving, praise and worship will be offered following the rosary. Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236 at 1:00 pm.
