Professor Lawrence Ward Beer passed away peacefully on January 8, 2014 at the age of 81 near his home in Boulder, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Keiko, his daughter, Kimberley, and sons, David, Chris and Larry, and 6 grandchildren.
