Lenai "Christy" Lively, age 66 passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her home in Lakewood, Colorado. Christy was born in Berkeley, California to John and Duveene McDonald. In her early years the family moved a lot with her dad being a travelling engineer. She spent her teenage years in Denver, Colorado where she went to high school.
After high school, Christy got married to a Marine and moved the country again, spending a lot of time in Hawaii. She had her daughters, Nicole and Jessica and moved back to Colorado, where she then had her son, Matthew. Christy was a very beloved mother, she encouraged curosity and learning. Her joy of curosity continued well into her life, wanting to learn Chinese and taking on geneology projects. Later in her life, she met Frank, who she spent the last years of her life with. Frank, and many, found Christy to be genuinely sweet, with a calm and non-judgemental demeanor.
Christy will be deeply missed by her children, Nicole, Jessica, and Matthew; partner, Frank; siblings, Mandy and Tracy, and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lakewood, Colorado.
