Michael Allen Souchek

Mike was born in Denver, CO. to Donald and Rose Marie Souchek on January 29, 1964. He had a sister, Donna at home.

He attended Green Gables Elementary and Carmody Junior High Schools in Lakewood. On to Bear Creek High School where he lettered in baseball and golf. He was also on the Bear Creek bowling team.

His bowling skills provided him with a full scholarship to Wichita State College in Kansas. The team there was number 1 in the college nation. He won the Singles Division at the college championships in Las Vegas his freshman year. He graduated with an Associate's Business degree and used his wonderful people skills in car sales, mortgage sales and eventually managing a bowling center.

Mike enjoyed all sports events, not only playing the previous mentioned. He was a big Rockies Baseball fan and ushered at Coors Field. He became a devoted Nebr. University Husker fan, since Dad attended there. He also traveled to several NASCAR races, including Talladega and Daytona. Since he lived in beautiful Colorado he had to try skiing and "tree bashed" his first try! Anything that was challenging or exciting he was up for it.

He had an unwavering love for life, embracing every moment with enthusiasm, joy and zest. He seemed to light up a room when he entered and he made lifelong friends.

Mike is survived by his parents and two children, Brooke and Michael Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Megan. He also has a granddaughter, Harper Grace. He will be missed by his sister, Donna and her husband, Mark Westwood, and their 3 children: Nieces-Kelyn and Maggie and Nephew-David. Also, he has 2 Great Nephews-Carter and Caiden. He will also be fondly remembered for his fun are his Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Mike Waddington, Redlands, California.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church in Lakewood, CO. at 11am on March 4, 2025. He will be buried in Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen, NE. at a later date
