Mildred F. Trujillo

Mildred Florence Trujillo, 87, of Denver, CO, was called home on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was born on October 6, 1926 in Johnstown, CO. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, and father to their eight children; Orlando Benjamin Trujillo, Sr. (4/9/26-3/9/99).

In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Romero; her sister, Shirley Romero Garcia (Joe); her sister, Bernice Romero Garcia (John); and her grandson, Shannon.

She will be forever cherished by her son, Ken Trujillo (Peggy); her son, Danny Trujillo (Anna); her daughter, Yvonne Morphis (Bill); her son, Lonnie Trujillo (Dona); her daughter, Lori Hensley; her son, Greg Trujillo (Michelle); her son, Nick Trujillo; her daughter, Theresa Trujillo; her brother, Fernando (Buddy) Romero (Bea); her sister Nancy (Babs) Romero Duran; twenty one grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Her deep, unwavering love for Jesus and her family marked Mildred’s life. She was a beautiful, gentle woman, who exemplified Christ and His love for others. She was a prayer warrior, full of wisdom, an encourager and a lover of scripture. A devoted mother, an adoring grandma, a doting great-grandma, and a thrilled great-great-grandma; she never ran short on love for anyone. No matter how large the family continued to grow, she always made time to talk and listen. She never forgot anyone’s birthday, or ceased praying for everyone individually. She would not only fill your heart with her hospitality, but your belly too! We are grateful and proud of the legacy she left, and will forever cherish the sweet memories we have of her.
