Odelia Della Rivera, age 94, passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2020. She was born on September 10, 1925 in Governor, New Mexico to Pablo Vigil and Mary B. Garcia. She married Sinigefredo (Fred) Rivera on June 26, 1970. Odelia and Fred raised a very large family. They both loved to go fishing in the Grand Junction, Denver and Wyoming areas. Additionally, they loved to go to family affairs such as birthdays, wedding and dancing. They loved cooking and roasting chili. Odelia has lived in Governor, Des Montes, New Mexico: Delta, Fruita, Grand Junction, Palisade, Denver, Brighton and Northglenn, Colorado.
Odelia has been called by many names such as Dee, Lala and Tata. She is survived by her older sister, Feloniz Duran, her son; Eugene (Bobby) Fresquez and daughter Margarita (Rudy) Padilla. She is also survived by her step-children; Linda Duran, Angela Silva, Steve (Viola) Rivera, Rosemarie (Ted) Hurtado, Tommy (Shirley) Rivera, Arlene (Carlos) Trujillo, Rita Trujillo and Bernadette Rodriquez. She has many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and one Goddaughter. Odelia is preceded in death by her parents: Pablo Vigil and Mary B. Garcia, her husband Sinigefredo Rivera, sisters; Manuelita Mascarenas and Amalia Duran, brothers; Felix Vigil and Ben Vigil, sons; Silverio Fresquez and step daughter Barbara Santistevan. Daughters and son by heart: Mrs. Rosalinda (Pepper) Gomez, Mrs. Denise Trujillo and Mr. Loy John Mascarenas. Special thanks to the staff of Avamere/Malley and dignity Hospice Care for Odelia's care and the assistance from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Odelia will be laid to rest with her husband, Sinigefredo (Fred) Rivera at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
