Theresa Wyrzykowski Stoltz was a woman of wonder, she was remarkable in every way. She always seemed to be happy because of her radiant smile and her warm and friendly personality. Her caring demeanor was always noticeable and often mentioned by those she met.
Theresa passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Theresa, daughter of Jon and Mary Wyrzykowski, was born in Germany following WWII and was of Polish descent. Theresa immigrated with her family, traveling via ship through harrowing conditions at sea, to the United States, where her father was able to gain sponsorship from a farmer in North Dakota.
Once established in the United States, Theresa and her family relocated to Billings, Montana where Theresa graduated from Central Catholic High School. Theresa followed in her father’s footsteps, who had become a barber. In Billings she studied at the Beau Monde Beauty College and earned her license as a cosmetologist, excelling at her craft.
On January 7, 1967, Theresa married Terry Stoltz and soon moved to Missoula, Montana where Theresa, due to her dedication to her work, was asked to take over the management a beauty shop while her husband completed his studies.
Theresa and her husband Terry relocated to Denver Colorado in 1976. It was during this time that Theresa found her passion for working with teachers and students in her role as a teachers aid at Colorow Elementary School. Through her sincerity and kindness she was a welcomed member of the educational team.
With development in the area, Theresa became interested in retail and took a role in retail sales for Joslin’s Department Store. She worked in the Children’s Department. Theresa remained with the store as it transitioned to Dillards, continuing to brighten the faces of adult and children shoppers. Theresa continued in retail, until she retired in 2013.
Retirement allowed Theresa to fulfill her love of gardening where she created a landscape designed for spending quality time filled with laughter, enjoying homemade delicacies and many games of backgammon with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all who adored her.
Theresa’s gift was never saying an unkind word and living a legacy of love which will continue to be remembered for generations to come.
Theresa was preceded in death by her mother and Father, her brother Johnny and granddaughter Alyssa. She is survived by her husband Terry, brother Jerry, Daughter Jennifer, Son Justin, and Justin’s wife, Tracy in addition to her Grandchildren Zachary, Logan and Haylee and her great grandchildren children Tessa and Sylus.
