Thomas Daniel Woessner, 82, of Littleton, CO passed away May 16, 2016 surrounded by family. Tom was born on 08/19/1933 in Pittsburgh, PA where he later married his high school sweetheart, Claire Louise Werner. After serving his time in the U.S. Army, Tom and Claire moved to Denver, CO in 1958. Anyone who knew Tom knew he was an industrious individual, that quality leading him to a career of 29 years at Denver Water, retiring as the Building and Maintenance Supervisor. Tom was a loving and devoted family man, he and Claire recently celebrating their 61st anniversary. Together they raised two children, Patty Holschuh (Rick) and Dan Woessner, both of Denver. Tom was the grandfather of two, Alyssa Holschuh and Ryan Holschuh (Denver), and great grandfather of Robby Holschuh (Alyssa). Tom was fiercely proud of and always entirely dedicated to his family and committed his life to ensuring everyone was taken care of and provided countless occasions when joyous memories could be made; they are now even more precious to us all.
Tom was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. He never knew a stranger, regardless of circumstance, as he was blessed with the “gift of gab.” Tom was a rare and selfless individual who wanted to be helpful whenever he could; a kind soul who was quick to forgive; someone who will be deeply missed by his family and by so many friends.
