Victor Manuel Fernandez, age 70 passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Denver, Colorado. Victor was born May 18, 1951 in Havana, Cuba to Caridad Perez Fernandez and The Late Victor Fernandez. He and his family arrived in the United States on April 7, 1961, when Victor was almost 10 years old.
Victor loved sunshine. He didn't like the cold dark of Winter, and often thought of returning to Florida. But he also really loved Bandimere Speedway. Victor loved cars. He and his goodest boy, his dog Hotrod, would tinker and toy under his favorite car, the '55 Chevy. For many years, Victor was a Journeyman, and then a groundskeeper at Spyglass Hill. He won awards for maintaining the grounds to perfection.
Victor is survived by his son, Victor Stark; his mother, Caridad; his sisters, Maria and Susan. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and extended family. Victor was preceded in death by his father, The Late Victor Fernandez; and his brothers, Nelson and Manuel.
A memorial service for Victor will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10AM at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226.
