

Vincent L.(Butch) Lucero Sr. passed away on Thursday August 23, 2018, he was born on April 27, 1940 in Denver, CO. In January 1958 he joined the Marines and served proudly. Vince loved spending time with family, dancing, laughing, joking, making up silly rhymes and playing with children. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking with everyone in our family and wasn't afraid to make himself the butt of a joke. Pastimes included fishing, drawing and writing poems, he also wrote 2 books one of which was a children's book. He loved working with his hands and was quite creative when completing projects, his family always called him a jack of all trades because he wasn't afraid to do new things. He had a passion for volunteering for many different organizations throughout his life and was recognized for the work he did with many awards such as the Minoru Yasui Award and the Hispanic Salute.
Vincent is survived by his wife Dawn Lucero, his daughter Christine Duke, 4 sons (Raymond, Vincent, Michael & Gilbert), 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 sisters (Patricia and Evangelina), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Reish, his parents William and Molly Lucero, 1 sister (Maryann) and 3 brothers (Raymond, Moses, William).
He was loved unconditionally and will be missed more than he'll ever know.
