Carol A Schaefer

Carol was born on April 10, 1939 in New Brunswick, NJ to her late parents William and Anna English.

Beloved wife of Walter W. Schaefer Jr. for 67 years together they raised a beautiful family, spending most of their life in Sayreville, NJ and later settling in Lakewood, NJ.

Carol's love for her family and friends was unmatched, spending time with the people she loved made her the happiest. Carol was always a social butterfly she enjoyed golfing, card playing and dominos with her girlfriends. She was a terrific cook and baker and an avid traveler alongside her husband Walter. Carol also spent her later years volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Society and with Caregivers Volunteers. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.

Carol is survived by her husband; Walter W. Schaefer Jr, her dear children; Mark (Valerie), Cheryl (John) and her daughter Debbie who predeceased her in 2024. Her grandchildren; Jennifer, Ryan, Matthew, Keri, Mark Jr, Kevin, Michael, Kimberly and Christopher. She was also blessed with great grandchildren; Chase, Charlotte, Benji, Oliver, Zoe, Leo and one baby girl on the way. She is also survived by her niece Dawn Melnick (Scott).

A Visitation for Carol will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at D'Elia Funeral Home; 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, June 2nd, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church; 42 Main St, Sayreville, NJ 08872. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Sayreville, NJ.
