Beloved wife of the late Anthony Grosso for 41 years.
Cherished daughter of the late Vincenza (DeRosa) D'Angelo and Gennaro D'Angelo.
Devoted mother of Richard and Robert Grosso and loving mother in law to Robert's wife, Maria Grosso.
Loving grandmother of Anthony, Marissa, Christina, Victoria, and Daniel Grosso.
Born in Castelluccio, Italy, she immigrated to the United States at just 17 years old. Eager to learn all that she could, she went back to school and earned her high school diploma in a foreign language, showing her resilience and determination.
Carolina loved to enjoy the outdoors and especially go blueberry picking, either by herself or with her grandchildren. Family and friends were always her number one priority, and every holiday celebration, she always came with her special homemade meat sauce. She truly was treasured wherever she went, always putting a smile on everyone’s face. She had a special quality about her, beautiful, of course, but a type of serenity and love for life that touched anyone who met her. No one could deny that she brightened any room she walked into, nor the warmth of her hugs and smiles. She was a breast cancer survivor for over 20 years and despite the increasing ailments that came with age, she always tried to put on a brave face for her family and wanted to be remembered as the vibrant person she was.
Funeral services will be private for immediate family. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
