

Delton David Amor, age 50, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. He was born on February 18, 1963 in Lakewood, NJ, and was the son of Jacquelyn (Bell) Amor and the late Manuel Amor, Jr. Delton was active in both his faith and community. He was a former Deacon for the First Presbyterian Church of Lakewood, and had been active with the church Youth Group. He was a member of the Black Hawks. Delton was a devoted caregiver to his mother and his late father. He is fondly remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand to those relatives and friends in need. Delton is survived by his mother, Jacquelyn, two sisters, Toyanna L. Miller and her husband Stephen of PA and Nisa K. Stein and her husband Richard of VA; four nephews, Charles Stapleton, Brandon Stapleton, Shaun Stapleton and Gregory Stein; and a niece, Shire Stein. Visitation will be Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church of Lakewood, 313 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Cremation will be private followed by entombment of his cremated remains in the Ocean County Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date.
