Doris Sievewright Salmond

Doris Sievewright Salmond, age 96, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. Doris was born February 16, 1922 in Kearny, NJ. She was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Sievewright.

Doris was a longtime resident of Packanack Lake, NJ before moving to the Original Leisure Village section of Lakewood 35 years ago.

Wife of the late Archibald Salmond, Jr. and brother William Sievewright. Doris is survived by her two daughters & sons-in-law, Susan S. and William Downey, and Dana Salmond and Richard Provan; three grandchildren, Jed Ryan Downey, Lindsay Provan, Sydney Provan; great-grandchild, Aidan Downey, Sister-in-Laws Lois Sievewright Doris Salmond and her longtime companion Donald Smith.

Doris volunteered for many years at Chilton Memorial Hospital and at Brick Hospital (renamed Ocean County Medical Center). She also enjoyed her time as a teachers's aid at Oak Street Elementary School in Lakewood.

Doris was and avid golfer and participated in many championship tournaments at Packanack Lake Golf Club and Leisure Village Golf Club in Lakewood. She loved the ocean and the New Jersey Shore.
