

Born in Paris, France, she emigrated to the United States. She received her French Teacher Certificate while in Nice, France and worked as a French teacher in Zion Lutheran School in Westwood, Saint Vincent Academy in Newark, and Academy of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown.
Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Jacques Ephrem Wahide; a daughter, Evelyn Sydow Heid and her husband Joseph; a sister-in-law, MaryAnne Ridoux; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Pierre and Françoise Wahide; 2 nephews: Serge Ridoux and his wife Denise, and Tom Ridoux and his wife Vera; 2 nieces: Carole and Cathy and her husband Jon; and 6 great nieces and nephews: Austin, Tommy, Kate, Shane, Jesse & Luka.
Eda was a member of the French Alliance and enjoyed playing Parcheese. She was also an avid lover of animals.
Funeral services will be held at D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood on Friday at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
