Eileen spent most of her life working in banking services. She retired as a Platform Assistant at Hudson City Savings Bank after working 26 years with the company.
Eileen was born to travel. She visited over 45 countries, learning about the different cultures and taking photos wherever she went. The majority of her travel was done by cruising. She became an Elite member on Princess Cruise Lines. On her Pacific Princess cruise in 2012 she was recognized onboard with a private Captain’s dinner as one of the most traveled passengers.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She cherished her childhood friendships and in more recent years developed close relationships with friends from her Enclave Community. Eileen adored her grandchildren and loved to make them laugh and spoil them with her love.
Mrs. Unold is predeceased by her parents Henry & Mildred Bender, husband Bill Unold and beloved daughter Caryn Unold.
Eileen is survived by her daughter Melissa Andrews and her husband Randy, her two brothers-in-law Mickey and Tommy Unold and her three grandchildren Tristan Dee, Jack Andrews and Ethan Andrews.
A funeral gathering for Eileen will be held Monday December 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A funeral service will occur Monday December 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private graveside service will follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
