George G. Chandler Jr.

George Gray Chandler, 69, passed away September 20, 2014 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Mr. Chandler was born in Evansville, ID and spent most of his life in New Jersey. He was the son of George Gray Chandler Sr. and Doris V. George attended Drexel University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Engineering. He worked for the F.A.A in Atlantic City for many years as an Electrical Engineer before retiring in 2008. He also worked for many years for Fort Monmouth as an Engineer. He was a loving father, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Chandler is predeceased by his wife Geraldine in 2011 and sister Priscilla in 2011. George is survived by his daughter Katie of Lakewood, brothers, Richard and Joseph of Maine, sisters, Barbara of PA, and Carole of Maine, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 11:30AM- 12PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 12PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood.
