Hannah Coughlin

Hannah L. Coughlin, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Hannah was born in Germany on March 6, 1926. She moved to the United States when she was five years old and resided in Brooklyn, NY until she moved to Whiting, NJ in 1999. She worked for the New York Telephone Company as a chief operator and management for most of her career there. Mrs. Coughlin was a beloved wonderful mom and friend to daughter Lois and Barbara. Her most enjoyment was seeing her granddaughter Doreen Armino and her husband Joe perform. She never missed a performance and played their music day and night. She spent most of her life doing for others and loving her neighbors. She always made everyone laugh with her many jokes. Mrs. Coughlin is predeceased by her very beloved husband Bill and her children Judith and Howard Leshin.Surviving are her daughters Lois Brusca and Barbara Zucker, two son-in-law, Tom Brusca and Dave Zucker, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 9:30AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
