Howard Robinson, 86, passed away August 21, 2016 at his home in Lakewood. Mr. Robinson was born in Newark in 1930 and spent most of his life in Maplewood where he attended and graduated from Columbia High School before finally settling in Leisure Park in Lakewood. He served in the US Air Force Special Services in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955. Howard served for 25 years on the Maplewood Police Department as a Police Officer. Mr. Robinson is predeceased by his wife Helen Kimpner, son, Ronald and daughter Roxanne. Howard is survived by his children, Kathleen and Christine, ex-wife Clare Flynn and devoted friend Betty Florentine. Arrangements are under the direction of the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will be held privately.
