

He was born on March 16, 1936, in New York, NY, and was the son of the late Joseph & Rose Colucci. John lived in Queens, NY until 1975. He later resided in Yorktown Heights, NY and the Outer Banks of NC, before moving to Toms River in 2002. John served in the US Navy and Coast Guard Reserve and was a police officer for the city of New York, retiring after 22 years of service. He was an avid golfer and loved to cook and spend time in his garden.
John is survived by his beloved wife Zofia; 2 sons, Joseph J. Colucci and John P. Colucci and his wife Jennifer; a brother, Robert Colucci; a sister, Joanne Colucci; and 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emily, Jack and Allison Colucci.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 4:00p.m & 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, in St. Dominic Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Paramus, NJ.
