Joseph V. Brando Sr.

Joseph Vincent Brando, age 97, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY, lifelong resident of Queens before settling in Ocean County, NJ for the past 27 years. He worked as a Stationary Engineer for the New York City Department of Sanitation and St. John's Hospital in Queens, NY for many years. Joseph was involved with many clubs, namely the Knights of Columbus, Elks and Alhambra of DEBORAH Hospital to name a few. Mr. Brando was an avid wood worker but his true passion was spending time with his loving family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Brando is predeceased by his siblings, Carmine, Nicholas, Louis, Theresa and Pauline.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan, son, Joseph Brando Jr., daughter, Laura Janczewski and her husband John and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 3-7PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 10AM at St. Maximilian Church of Toms River. Entombment to immediately follow at the parish mausoleum.
