

Leonard A. Narozonick, 91, of Lakewood died peacefully at home Sunday evening, January 8, 2012. Born in Helmetta, NJ, on March 6, 1920, he moved to Lakewood in 1935 and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1938. Leonard served in the U.S Army during WWII., and spent 33 months overseas. He worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years. Leonard was a past member of Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Lakewood Black Hawks, & American Legion Post 166. He enjoyed playing golf until early 2011 at Eagle Ridge golf club with the many beloved friends he cherished. He is survived by his daughter; Nancy Marzarella; a son, Thomas Narozonick; two granddaughters, Danielle Marzarella & Elyse Narozonick; a sister, Mary Carlson; a brother, George Narozonick, and his dear friend Ray Marzarella. He will be missed by his loving nieces & nephews, friends, and many others that have known him. Leonard was predeceased by his lovely wife Kathleen; a son in law, Anthony Marzarella; his parents, Stanley & Alice Narozonick; a brother, Richard; and five sisters, Madeline, Frances, Antoinette, Amelia, & Jennie. Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701, followed by his funeral mass being celebrated at 12:00 p.m. in St. Mary Of The Lake RC Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
