Marie Ferris Rivituso

Marie Rivituso, age 87, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on November 4, 2013 at the Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ. Marie was born May 8, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY and she was the daughter of the late Jennie and Charles Ferris. Marie was a resident of Old Bridge, NJ for 38 years before moving to Lakewood, 13 years ago.

She was a former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old Bridge, NJ and along with her late husband Harry, served the church in the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Marie was the wife of the late Harry Rivituso who passed away on November 2, 2013. She is survived by their 3 children, Robert C. Rivituso and his wife Marie E. of Wilmington, DE, Richard Rivituso of Manchester, NJ, and William and his wife Jeanette of Flemington, NJ; and 3 grandchildren, Christina, Anna and Amy.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 12:00 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Interment will follow in the BG William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
