

Martin Thomas Hennessey graduated from Brick Township High School in 1966 after playing football for several years there under Coach Warren Wolf. He served as an apprentice doing masonry work under Bob Jones until he pursued his own business owning Hennessey Construction where he did masonry work and all aspects of that field, even built his own house in Bayville. He then did general contracting. He taught general contracting and carpentry at Vo-Tech schools in Waretown, Pineland Regional, and others throughout Ocean County. He took classes for sub codes, fire official, and building inspector under John Lightbody where he then held many certifications. He also worked in the past as a lifeguard and a bartender. He then moved out of New Jersey to New York and started an Alpaca farm after retiring from masonry.
My husband was a lovable, strong, family oriented, admirable, and loyal man. He was very caring. Martin will be missed dearly, he will always be remembered for making everyone laugh and his love for his family whom he cherished every moment with, his memory will live on through those he loved most.
Martin is survived by his beloved wife; Denise Hennessey. His Brothers; Anthony Hennessey and George Hennessey, sister; Elizabeth Hennessey-Morris and his many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
